THE ORANGE DOOR STUDIO

 

My studio has always been my happy place. Now I want to share that experience with others by offering classes and workshops for adults in my own artmaking space. At The Orange Door Studio, all the supplies costs are part of the price, so students can just show up, focus on art, learn new techniques and explore their own visual path. All levels of experience are welcome!

I am a professional painter and printmaker. I love sharing my passion for the arts and believe that creating art helps us to better connect to ourselves and our communities. Making art offers us a way to slow down, observe more carefully, listen to our inner voice, be authentic, let go, and grow joy! 

 

I received my MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and also graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. I have been teaching youth and adults for over 20 years in a variety of programs including the Seattle Art Museum, Pratt Fine Arts Center, Bainbridge Island Art Museum, Port Townsend School of the Arts, the Family Learning Program, and many others.
